There’s an old saying that says that experience is the best teacher. It also happens to be the best motivator.

I’m Marie Kaye, Reiki Master, and holistic life coach. And there was a time in my life, not all that long ago, when I was unhappy with my life, unhappy with my body, and had honestly lost hope that anything would ever change.

I was living in a vicious cycle of chronic stress and every single part of me was suffering the effects. I had gut issues, was prone to skin issues and breakouts, and was physically and emotionally exhausted all of the time.  When I looked in the mirror, I didn’t like what I saw and those feelings of self-loathing led to an extreme food addiction by way of emotional eating, exacerbated my ADHD, and pushed me into a depression.

But somewhere in all of that suffering and dissatisfaction, the last little bit of fight in me decided I’d had enough.

Deep down, I wanted to feel better. I needed to feel better.

I needed to understand what my body was telling me and learn what I could do to better support myself – mind, body, and soul.

And so began a decades-long journey of discovery and healing.

I studied and mastered Reiki, Reflexology, and CranioSacral therapy. I learned to use essential oils, crystals, and my own healing intuition. Then, after working in a health and wellness center for years, and reaping the benefits of focused self-care, I felt a calling to do more. To share what I had learned with others.

In 2018, I ventured out on my own and launched Wholistically Real with a wide catalog of wellness therapies that, in addition to Reiki, Reflexology, & Craniosacral therapy, also includes nutritional counseling, health and life coaching, and guided meditation sessions with sound therapy.

I’ve worked with hundreds and hundreds of clients, helping them tune in to and learn to use the body’s own healing energy to feel less pain, improve strength, and resolve or decrease the impact of disease and health conditions. And most importantly to feel good in their own body and understand how to better take care of themselves.

Most recently, my focus has been on expanding my coaching services by offering group coaching and one-on-one sessions that focus on food as medicine and emotional vs. intuitive eating.

William Shakespeare once said, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”

My gift and my life’s mission is to share what I’ve learned about all those messages our bodies send us and teach others about the power of holistic living so they can wake up each day healthier, happier, and fully themselves.
